Vomit During Fasting
Some one take a meal of sahur before the fast,afterthat he cleans his tooth with brush and toothpaste, but then he felt disgusted with toothpaste smell (sickening smell) and afterthat he unintentionally vomits after calling for prayer (athan) Shubuh, so is his fasting sahih (right) ?
Your fasting is sahih, and there is no sin on you, as the Prophet (pbuh) said : “Whosoever of you fasts and then uninteionally vomits, so then there is no duty on him to perform it in another time, but whosoever intentionally vomits then he must perform it in another time”. Narrated by “Ashab al-Sunan” from Abu Hurairah and it is hadith sahih.
So then, who intentionally vomits, he is on him duty to perform it in another time (Qadha’).
And we advise the asker to use ‘Al-Siwak’ as it’s more fitted with ‘Sunnah’ and better for the mouth as the prophet (pbuh) said : “Al-Siwak purified mouth and please Allah”. (Narrated by Ahmad, Nasaee and Ibnu Hibban) from Narration of Aisyah (May Allah be Gracious to her) and it’s hadith sahih.
